Mr. Livingston was founded in Spring ’08 by Ben Arabia, Justin White, and Justin Gerrard – all students at Harvard college, in Cambridge, MA. The brand was created with the goal of trying to bridge the divide seen between streetwear and luxury apparel, and their first tees were released near the end of May.
Mr. Livingston’s designs feature vibrant colors, (similar to designs seen in brands such as 10.Deep, Mishka, The Hundreds, etc.) but the structure of the designs is minimalist and contemporary (similar to designer clothing like Ksubi, Marc Jacobs, or luxury streetwear brand Maharashi). The concepts behind the shirts are usually dark (their “Robot” shirt, for example, pokes fun at trends and fleeting fashions), but the images are playful and interesting, because of the emphasis on bright color compositions.
Mr. Livingston prides itself in making shirts that anyone would feel comfortable in. Get more info on Mr. Livingston by going to their website: mrlclothing.com.
